Synopsis

The world lives divided by skin color in 2050. With 33% of the country's population being racially ambiguous, you'd think that still wouldn't be a problem. And when you add in superhuman genetics it makes that much harder for a person to find peace. And overpopulation doesn't seem that big of a deal when someone has the ability to conjure up a storm with the wave of a finger. Living conditions are unjust and civil rights are often ignored, but when the murder of a Preternatural child by the hands of police is caught on film, civil unrest skyrockets across the country .

Band of Se7en Character Bios

Tiberus "Seven" Turner

With confidence as high as his passer rating, a promising future in football lying in wait, and a flashy reputation that often precedes him, the Texas born superstar needs no introduction. Seven is as flashy as they come and he is not ashamed to admit that he thrives in the spotlight. His mom packed their bags and moved him and his little brother to Harpy Heights at the end of Seven's sophomore year, but her plan to escape all the scouts and dream sellers that swooped in on her son was to no avail. Seven's dream to make it pro is still in full effect, and there is not a thing that will stop him from buying his mother her dream house... not even his hidden talents.

Cree Washington

Because of her beautiful face and because she's so open with her sexuality, there's no wonder why Cree is every high schooler's wet dream. And aside from a dark past that she doesn't like to speak about, the 5'11 amazon is explicit about everything, and is as candid as they come. Before she and her mom's relationship fell to pieces, the two were inseparable. Now the relationship is so strained, Cree may as well be on her own. (According to Cree, it fell apart the moment she showed her mother that she could manipulate the Earth.) So these days, if she's not with Andrea or sculpting a statue, she's working at "Shanel's", saving up enough money to move out after graduation.

Grey O'Keefe

A cynic, a pragmatist, a social leper. Grey pretty much fits the bill for any kid who's been rejected at a young age. And like most outcasts he boasts not only a tough exterior, but underneath it he just wants to be accepted. Unfortunately, before he was even pushed away by his peers, he was shunned by his family. He was bullied by his brothers growing up. He was never given enough attention because his extended family stole it all. As a matter of fact, the first time he "died", his parents didn't even care to get him registered as Preternatural. Situations mold everyone differently. For Grey, it made him cold and calculating.

Amity Vega

Arguably the most skilled Preternatural in the group, Amity plans to use her gift at her dream job. So in between her 10 classes a day as well as studying for them, she's learning what it takes to run a hydrotherapy center down at Harpy Heights Hospital. Amity is no stranger to hard work - she can't be, not with three extravagant sisters who are all overachievers. And accompanied with an autistic younger brother are loving parents whom she plans to care for one day (which explains her excessive need to do so well in school). Often coming off as sanctimonious and "overbearing", Amity tends to get in debates with whoever's opens their big mouth. This can certainly be off-putting when you're just trying to have a conversation about class electives.

Darrin Davis

Darrin is a wall no one can penetrate - not even put a crack in. Unless you're Andrea. And that's because his circle is small, his fists are clenched, and he's often misunderstood (especially by the people who won't accept that he doesn't know what he wants to do with his life yet). His withdrawn disposition is often written off as unapproachable. Coincidentally, he mistakes other's confusion for indifference. But what he lacks in sensitivity and friends, he more than makes up for in loyalty and transparency. His close friends Amity and Matthews can vouch for that, despite their pushiness.

Andrea McCarthy

A sweetheart by default and a fiercely independent thinker, Andrea brings more to the table than just survival skills - she brings her survivalist mentality. And while she's mostly an empathetic optimist, she volunteers at the city's premier hospital so she's also a realist. And a dark, shameful secret not only opens up a can of worms whenever the opportunity presents itself, but it almost always reminds her of who she is and what she can't escape.

Rory Matthews

If you look up the word "neurotic" in the dictionary, you'd probably find a picture of Matthews. And if you looked up the word "accidental" in the dictionary, you'd probably find a picture of him there, too. Not only does he help kick the story into high-gear, he's a reason the fear is always so elevated in the room. With 5 little brothers and sisters at home, Matthews not only shoulders responsibility at home, but also with keeping Darrin afloat, and even playing the comic relief wherever he goes -- not on purpose though; he's the coincidental clown.
